Space rental for our large rooms is $50/hour and includes tables and chairs (adult and kid sizes available) and access to the fridge/sink/food storage. Decorations of all styles are available - adhesive to the walls is with Command Strips only. Add-on items, such as The Place providing decorations, balloons, access to large motor toys, etc. are available. See our Rental page for additional details.
Can I get volunteer hours with you?
Yes!! Volunteer hours are available for the Happiness Coordinator role. Most often this role will be an extra set of hands at our summer camps or other programs. In addition, this role can serve in the after-hours care capacity and/or during the lunch hour for our summer camps. All volunteers must complete our babysitting/CPR course.
Who are the class providers?
Class providers are noted in the class descriptions. If the provider is an organization outside of The Place, you can click on their name in the class description for a link to their website. All providers have a background check on file.
How does it work?
Click on CLASSES and create a family account. Update your info, your kid's info, add a payment option and start selecting the classes and programs that work for you. It's that easy!
Are food & beverages allowed in your space?
Yes, you are permitted to bring in and serve your own food and beverages. All serving needs are the responsibility of the party host and a signed liability waiver is required. For more information, see our Rental page for additional details.
Do we have to live in Pickaway County?
No way! But that is where all the cool kids live... Just kidding! The Place is open to anyone anywhere who wants to join in a class, program or camp. There is no special code, no extra fee or secret password to join the fun. Just make a family account in our Classes Portal and you are IN!
Are scholarships available?
It is important to us that everyone be able to participate in the classes and programs that will help them grow. We have several organizations that will support student fees. If you are in need of fee support, please contact us to complete the proper paperwork.

Do you offer fundraising?
We do! Fundraising is available through our BINGO game Sundays. The fundraising partner is responsible for the BINGO cards, selling markers or providing chips, calling the BINGO squares and the overall monitoring of the event. The Place provides the space and can support the other needs on a request-only basis. Ten percent of the BINGO event proceeds go to The Place with the remaining proceeds benefiting the nonprofit. The space can also be rented for private fundraiser events. Visit our rental page and select fundraiser in the type of event drop down.
